Savasana Yoga PositionIf you a have a membership at one of the newer gyms, most of the machines have instructions and pictures of muscles trained.

Even if you’ve been attending gym for some time, have a look at the instructions to better focus on the right muscles and even perhaps improve your technique.

Today I went to the gym first thing in the morning (having just warm water with lemon, Noni bioactive beverage and an apple). After a quick warm up I proceed to train all the major muscles in the body.

I started with a super set of 3 exercises (no rest in between): wide grip assisted pull-up (back, shoulders, arms), dips (chest, shoulders, arms), and bench step-up with dumbells (legs, hips, calves).

Then I moved to Leg Press (butt, legs, calves), followed by chest press (chest) and a chest flies (chest). After that I did Lat Pull Down (back) and shoulder press (shoulders).

My last machine was a Cable Crossover. From starting standing position with arms to your sides (like a giant letter T), doing a super set of chest flies (squeezing arms down in front of you – chest) and literal flies (arms straight down to your sides – side lats and chest under arms).

I finished the workout with ab crunches, leg drops, bicycles, v-sit-ups, and a plank with push-ups (legs on stability ball, arms on bosu). My abs and core felt amazing few hours after this!

Right after this power workout I had a shake with banana, blueberries, orange, apple, and FIT Rebuild Protein, and one after that my body clearly wanted a nap.

I lied on my back in the Savasana yoga position (arms and legs slightly away from the body). This position maximizes body and nervous system relaxation, refreshes and rejuvenates the mind, restores energy and focus, and of course is great for after-workout naps (thus Savasana position, but NOT actual Savasana).

After this power morning workout, protein shake, 30-minute relaxation and a healthy chicken wrap and salad, I had one of my most productive days in a long time! Just flying through my to-do list!
